Social Work Service
Social work services are an integral part of VAPORHCS and the care VA provides to Veterans and their caregivers.
We work with other Veterans Health Administration, Veterans Benefits Administration, National Cemetery Administration, and numerous community partners, linking Veterans and/or family members to resources and services in support of their health care goals.
Social workers work throughout VAPORHCS at all of its sites of care.
Social Work Service provides on-site services seven days a week at the Portland and Vancouver campuses through the emergency department, inpatient acute care units, and Veteran & Caregiver Lodging & Hospitality Program.
Social Work Service administrative hours are Monday through Friday, from 7:30 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
The Social Work Service administrative office is located in the Portland VA Medical Center, Bldg 100, third floor, in room 3B-100.
Our main phone number is 503-220-8262 ext 57029.
Social Work Service is divided into six sections, each with numerous programs and services.
