PTSD Caregiver REACH VA Telephone Support Group
Are you a family member or friend caregiving or supporting a Veteran with PTSD and want to learn skills to better weather challenges that arise?
The REACH VA Telephone Support Group Program can help you.
Caregiving can be very challenging. The REACH VA Telephone Support Group Program teaches valuable skills in a group format to help with problem solving, stress management, and positive thinking. The Telephone Support Group Leader works with a group of family caregivers to learn better ways to deal with challenges and find time to care for you, as well.
The REACH VA Telephone Support Group Program will be offered by the Portland VA Medical Center by our certified group leaders Amber Lynch, LCSW, and Erin Dougherty, LCSW. To participate in this program, it is required that the Veteran to be enrolled in the VA, and the caregiver to complete a brief phone intake and enrollment forms. Veteran’s that are serving in the caregiving role for a loved one with PTSD are also eligible for this program.
